The Trailer & # 39; Aquaman & # 39; is finally here and it's really beautiful

It took a little longer than the fans would have liked, but thanks to the Warner Bros. panel. in San Diego Comic-Con, the new trailer Aquaman is here. Fans knew this was happening of course, as Jason Momoa literally dipped from a cliff while he was on vacation with his family a few days ago to promote the fact that the trailer was coming out (as pointed out by Aisha Tyler, he was clearly born to be Aquaman). Fortunately, the trailer was worth the wait.

Momoa, one of the best parts of the Justice League largely uncertain, is back in all his shirtless glory, with his partner crime and the interest of the # Love, played by Amber Heard. The visuals are amazing, diving into the underwater world where turbo turtles are like, you know, a normal thing, and finally giving us a look at the one and only Nicole Kidman as mother of # 39; Aquaman. (The flawless queen of the sea, bring her.)

The trailer also sets up two separate villains for Arthur Curry to face. In a twist Thor he seems to fight his brother, Orm, for control of their underwater world. Patrick Wilson, who plays Orm, is a Loki-type – royal and light, compared to his big brother quiz. Then there is Black Manta. The character appears near the end of the clip, and it's pretty hard to miss because it looks like a bug that can fire laser beams from his eyes.

Black Manta is played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and according to Variety he is a mercenary and the greatest villain of Aquaman. His strange costume actually serves a particular purpose. The man behind the mask is David Hyde, and he's a human. When he dresses like Black Manta, he does not only gain strength, he is also protected from the pressure of the ocean. In the comics he and the main purpose of his army is to take control of Atlantis.

In this spirit, it seems that the character could act as a possible link between Arthur and his half-brother, Orm. These two very different men have one thing in common: they both want the best for Atlantis, and letting it fall into the hands of Black Manta would be a terrible idea.

Villains apart, Aquaman resembles a total departure from the usual formula of DC. In the past, the studio is largely based on desaturated colors and dark themes. By comparison, Aquaman is a wonderland of color as the zips across the underwater world of Atlantis. In extended images shown only at Comic-Con, the mood continues with a badass fight scene starring Kidman's Atlanna, and an extended version of the rooftop chase with Momoa and Heard.

The only part of the trailer that is not all that is happening with Heard's hair. It is oddly reminiscent of the CGI mane sported by the character of the series Medusa in Marvel Inhumans . But hey, the hair aside, Heard seems to rock the role of the warrior Mera. Anyone who bravely jumps out of a plane without a parachute is a character to be loved.

In addition to the trailer Aquaman DC and Warner Brothers also debuted a first look at Wonder Woman: 1984 and the Zachary Levi faced Shazam . The only thing these three movies all have in common? They look fun. Unlike the terrible vibrations that the Batman and Superman movies have had recently, heroes like Arthur take the time to make jokes and enjoy the cool worlds that they inhabit.

Hey, when you can communicate with sharks and go out into an underwater paradise, how bad can you really complain? Aquaman can have the weight of two worlds on his shoulders, but in the first trailer, he takes everything in stride. And yes, his only cool factor will make you want to see more of this visually stunningly beautiful movie.
