The airline's main operating system and dispatch went down about 2:05 pm and the carrier died, the Federal Aviation Administration said. 2:15 pm, according to FAA

Michelle Mohr, an American spokeswoman, said the problem stemmed from "a connectivity issue of one of our data centers."

"All is back to normal, thankfully, there were no cancellations as a result of the issue, "she said.

American was not along with Sunday's tech problems. SkyWest Airlines, which flies regional flights for America, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and Alaska Airlines also had a system that delayed flights. But the FAA said Sunday afternoon was a temporary suspension of flights

At least seven flights were delayed at the San Diego airport.
