According to Atlantic County, other mosquito samples from Linwood and Northfield were tested positive for West Nile virus.
They were collected at Linwood, in the 300 block of Beech Avenue and in the 300 block of Marvin Avenue; and to Northfield again in the 1200 block of Zion Road and in block 700 of Debora Street.
Earlier positive samples were also found in Hammonton and Pleasantville.
Infected mosquitoes can transmit the virus to birds, animals and humans. fever, headache and body aches, vomiting, diarrhea or rash. According to the Centers for Disease Control, symptoms include fever, headache and body aches, vomiting, diarrhea or rashes, but most infected people do not develop them.
Three human cases of West Nile virus infection have been confirmed by state health authorities in 2018, but none in Atlantic County. The cases involved elderly residents of Essex, Hudson and Hunterdon Counties.
"West Nile virus can pose a greater risk for seniors or those with weakened immune systems," said Patricia Diamond, Atlantic County Health Officer, in a news release.

_ Rid the properties of mosquito breeding areas by draining stagnant water.
_ Clean clogged gutters; check and repair the screen doors.
