Johnny Bobbitt, the homeless military veteran who received $ 400,000 for him from supporters, will receive all the money, even though fundraisers would have squandered it.
GoFundMe, along with the law firm Cozen O'Connor, said Thursday that Bobbitt would receive the balance of what he had not received hundreds of thousands of money raised for him at the end of 2017, a reported the Philadelphia Inquirer.

"Johnny will be made whole and we commit ourselves to obtain the balance of the funds of which it has not yet received or which it did not benefit," the statement said. "GoFundMe's goal has always been to make sure Johnny gets the support he deserves."
Bobbitt was homeless and addicted in November when he gave his last 20 dollars to Kate McClure, a motorist stranded on the roadside in Philadelphia.
To thank him, McClure and his boyfriend, Mark D & # 39; Amico, created a GoFundMe account for Bobbitt, which raised $ 400,000 from more than 14,000 people.
Once the money came in, Bobbitt said he started giving it to his family and spending it on drugs, and the couple said they had withheld the money to help him. He eventually received about $ 75,000 from GoFundMe, which he used to buy a camper and an SUV – which he no longer has either.
Bobbitt accused both of mismanagement of donations, which the couple initially denied. Last month, D'Amico claimed he was in control of the funds raised and that he would pay the money when Bobbitt got a job and stopped using drugs.
The attorney for McClure and D'Amico finally told a court that he had learned that there was no more money left.
The couple's home in Bordentown, New Jersey, was raided Thursday, and a video shows a black BMW car being towed.

McClure and Amico are expected to appear in court next week for a statement in a lawsuit filed by Bobbitt about the money.
The Burlington County Attorney's Office confirmed Thursday in a Facebook message that due to "a huge public interest," McClue and Amico are the object of a investigation, but no charges have been filed.
