The year 2018 marks the 25th anniversary of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign in Westchester, the 4th edition of the Making Strides event in the United States. More than 21,000 walkers raised $ 1.2 million.

Pre-registration required online. No fees to participate, although donations and fundraisers are encouraged.

The American Cancer Society's Breast Cancer Steps will take place on Sunday, October 21st at Manhattanville College, bringing together communities, honoring those affected by the disease, and raising awareness and fundraising for a world without breast cancer.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the country. The non-competitive and inspiring event helps raise awareness and mobilize funds to end breast cancer and gives hope that no one will be confronted with breast cancer alone. Dollars raised help the American Cancer Society fund innovative breast cancer research; provide education and advice to help people reduce their risk; and provide comprehensive support to patients who need it most. In 2017, CAS staff helped more than 40,000 cancer patients through every step of their journey, including insurance issues, referrals and other local services, caregivers and barriers to care.
