Blink-182 has canceled a mini-tour initially scheduled for the fall, including their appearance at the top of the Riot Fest in Chicago, which will run from September 14 to 16.
The group announced in a statement via Twitter The medical problems of this drummer Travis Barker were "still too risky" for his medical team to allow him to play. In June, Blink-182 reported several of their dates of residency in Las Vegas, "because of blood clots in both arms of Travis Barker".
"The last few months have just been in vain while I waited until my doctors released me so I could hit the road and play with my group," Barker wrote in the statement. "Unfortunately, the risks associated with drums are still too great. I'm doing everything I need to get back on the road as quickly as possible. I want to thank my fans, my family, my friends and my colleagues for all the love and support.
The group added that they would return to the title of Riot Fest in 2019. Meanwhile, the Weezer Riot Festival, Run the Jewels and Taking Sunday is replaced by the Blink-182 aspect. The festival has announced that it will unveil additional acts on Friday.
