The Baltimore Fire Department fights a four-alarm fire at Fells Point on Friday morning.

A call to the fire at 400 St. Broadway Street came just after 2:30 pm, said Baltimore Fire spokeswoman Blair Skinner. The fire affected two buildings, an adjacent church and Budeke's Paints, founded in 1868.

Crews have been on the scene for more than five hours and the scene is still active. The department is monitoring hot spots and is worried about flammable materials in the paint shop, Skinner said.

No injuries were reported, but about 50 residents of a condominium at Broadway and Bank Street were evacuated as a precautionary measure, she added.

The investigation looks for the causes of the fire.
