Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor I still do not know exactly why he was "sitting, I guess you could say" for a game of the week 11 against the Los Angeles Chargers last season in favor of the rookie Nathan Peterman in the middle of a playoff race.
"At the time, they were not telling me the truth," Taylor told The Uninterrupted in the offseason against the Cleveland Browns after three years with the Bills. "The GM [Brandon Beane] I said one thing and the head coach [Sean McDermott] I said something else. "

After starting the season at 5-2, the Bills lost two consecutive games against the New York Jets and New Orleans Saints before the Nov. 19 game at the StubHub Center.
Peterman was rocked by the Chargers, throwing five interceptions in the first period, and was replaced half by Taylor with the Chargers until 40-10 and the match already ended for all intents and purposes. The Bills would lose the game 54-24.
McDermott did not hesitate after the game to choose Peterman.
"It was not what we were hoping for, but young players are experimenting with things like that" McDermott said in his postgame press conference. "I do not regret my decision I regret the result, it's partly to win now and partly to win in the future."
The Bills have then won four of their last six games to clinch the first playoff draw since 1999, ending the longest playoff drought in professional sports.
Taylor says his time in Buffalo was more filled with discouragement than encouragement.
"All that was said was," Oh, he can not do that "or" Oh, he can not do that "and never," Oh, he can do this "or" he can do that, "said Taylor. People have told me what I could not do or what I was not going to be and I was able to overcome that. "
Taylor and the Browns open their season Sunday at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
