Southern Australians were warned not to consume alfalfa sprouts in a Adelaide company after Salmonella poisoning had made eight people sick within a month.
A series of Sunshine Sprouts products was recalled after eight people contracted salmonella last month, the state health organization said Sunday.
Acting Executive Director of SA Health, Dr. Chris Lease, reported that 116 alfalfa sprout products had been sampled, two patients reported eating them, and Sunday's results showed Salmonella in three samples.

The products are sold at Coles, Foodland, IGA and vegetable merchants.
People may experience symptoms between six and 72 hours after exposure, including fever, diarrhea, vomiting, cramps, and headaches. These can last up to seven days.
