SEATTLE – The Yankees can not sink until September, but it's almost a super task they will play this year in the Wild Card game of the American League.
And it also seems likely that they will face A.
In this spirit, let's take a look at what could be the Wild Card alignment shaped by manager Aaron Boone and general manager Brian Cashman.
Remember: in the "do or die" scenario, the Yankees do not need to carry extra pitchers, so they can charge bench players and referees.

Catcher: Gary Sanchez
Why: If the defensive struggles of Gary Sanchez persist, the Yankees could turn to Austin Romine. After all, in a series, it might be easier to deal with a bad defender to the receiver. When it's time to make or die, every throw is important, and it's not as though Sanchez had looked like his 2017 auto this season.
1st goal: Luke Voit
Why: Luke Voit got the job at this stage, not only for the Yankees, but also for the clashes in the field. He is like a wrestler from WWE. Do not be shocked, though, if Voit embarks on a mini-crisis and the Yankees give Greg Bird a last try.

2nd base: Gleyber Torres
Why: With his last two weeks, Gleyber Torres returned to the rookie league of the year with teammate Miguel Andujar and Shohei Ohtani of the Angels. Some choices of Yankees players are easy. It is one of them.
Quick stop: Didi Gregorius
Why: Speaking of facility, Didi Gregorius would be the obvious choice of Aaron Boone. He is among the top five short-term in American legend, and you could argue the same for all baseball. Gregorius has the best grip on the Yankees' positions.
