PROVINCETOWN, MASS. (WHDH) – The US Coast Guard has located the body of a missing man in Boston Harbor early Sunday morning.

After hours of searching, Massachusetts State Police divers fired the 21-year-old man from the waters around Peddock Island around 1 am, nearly 100 meters away.

The Provincetown II ferry reported the man at sea around 8:30 pm. Saturday, according to a tweet from US Coast Guard Northeast.

The man fell overboard after "playing horse on board the ship," according to the Bay State Cruise Company.

They say that one crew member warned the man to stop acting recklessly, but that it had no effect.

"The tragic and overwhelming sadness that has crossed us all; Our team, our staff – all associated with our company – left us with no words to express how sorry we are for the family and friends of the gentleman who has exceeded the limits, "said Michael Glasfeld, owner of the Bay State Cruise Company.

According to Glasfeld, the crew focused on the man, threw several lifejackets within range and sent a crew member into the water to try to save him. However, the passenger could not get to these aids and was lost.

The name of the victim has not been published yet.
