The regular Friday demonstrations, which have been held since March 30, began as the "Great March of Return" by the organizers who said their goal was to highlight.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reports 179 Palestinian deaths since the beginning of the weekly demonstrations, with more than 19,000 injured. An Israeli died and 37 were wounded, according to the ministry.

The IDF said it was aware of both deaths and that the incidents would be "reviewed by the relevant chain of command".
