After months of controversy and the end of the long swimwear competition, Miss America 2019 is scheduled for tonight.
The Miss America 2019 Contest is broadcast live on ABC on Sunday, September 9 at 9 pm-11pm. EDT (8pm – 10pm) Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Choreographer, host and dancer Carrie Ann Inaba will host the competition with personality Ross Mathews television.

Fifty-one women from across the country are competing to succeed Cara Mund, the former Miss North Dakota who won the crown last year.
Controversial
Miss America has been rocked by controversy after Gretchen Carlson, CEO of the MAO board, announced radical changes dubbed "Miss America 2.0". Among the changes was the decision to cancel the swimsuit contest. In their place, participants will participate in a question and answer session with the judges.
Judges this year will be the former boxer, author and television personality, Laila Ali; Bobby Bones, author and host on national syndicated air; country music singer and songwriter Jessie James Decker; award-winning music producer and television host Randy Jackson; the news presenter Soledad O & # 39; Brien; entrepreneur and founder of Dry Bar Alli Webb and singer, songwriter, author and television host Carnie Wilson.
Competitors will also have more flexibility regarding their evening dresses and will "express their confidence in the evening dress of their choice," according to the contest. The contest has retained its talent contest.
