Fans who have already got their hands on the Playstation 4 video game Spider Man can probably recognize how much the Marvel game embraces the story of the cartoon that made Wall Crawler one of the most popular superheroes of all time.
The new title of Insomniac Games pays tribute to the creators who led the way, with an incredible reference to Steve Ditko and one of his most iconic stories at the beginning of the game.

The scene takes place at the opening of the game, when Spider-Man and the NYPD make a descent into the Kingpin base. Wilson Fisk rigged explosives throughout the building to prevent his capture, and a bomb explodes some employees of one of his legitimate business activities.
Spider-Man finds passers-by trapped under a pile of debris and uses his super strength in a quick event to lift the weight and allow their escape. And although the circumstances are different, the visuals of the scene are out of the comic, referring to The amazing spider-man # 33.
The comics of Steve Ditko and Stan Lee appeared more than 50 years ago, in early 1966. The plot continues after an aggressive Spider-Man fought with Dr. Octopus. The result was a ton of iconic images, especially the scene where Spider-Man overcomes obstacles and invokes enough strength to escape an overwhelming death.
In the video game, it's much more heroic because Spider-Man is not a victim of his own rage and instead saves people who need help. And while this is another impressive benchmark, the PS4 game is not the first reference at this iconic moment in the mainstream media.
Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures Spider-Man: Homecoming also has a reference to this scene, when Peter Parker and Vulture clash in the film's climactic confrontation. Vulture uses its wings to break down support beams in an isolated warehouse, causing the roof to collapse on Spider-Man.
The young hero reacts much as he does in comics, seemingly overwhelmed at first, but later, using force to escape his plight.
It's obviously one of the most iconic moments in the character's story, and it's great to see Steve Ditko's legacy honored on the big screen and in video games.
