The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said the following state roads in Allegheny County are closed Monday morning due to flooding:
Pittsburgh Traffic: updates on Monday morning
- Freeport Road (Highway 1001) between Powers Run Road and Boyd Avenue in O'Hara Township
- Stewart Road / Berryman Avenue (Highway 3011) between Brownsville Road and Stoltz Road in South Park Township
- Boyce Road (Highway 3006) between Hunting Ridge Road and Washington Road (Highway 19) in South Fayette
- Piney Fork Road (Route 3014) between Brownsville Road and Snowden Road in South Park Township
- Baldwin Road / Streets of the Road (Highway 2046) between Ramp Street in the City of Pittsburgh and Brentwood Road in Baldwin Borough

Steady rains will dissipate to scattered showers during Monday's day, but streams, creeks and rivers will continue to rise Monday night as water continues to flow from hills and higher elevations into waterways. water.
The Ohio River in Pittsburgh is expected to peak at nearly 27 feet by Friday night, resulting in the closure of the 10th Street Bypass and the Bath section of the center of the boardwalk. Allow extra time for detours to the city of Pittsburgh.
Be alert to the rapidly changing road conditions and do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Eighteen inches of water can float a typical vehicle. Do not cross or dismount barricades.

The "bath" portion of Interstate 376 in downtown Pittsburgh will close at 2 am, PennDOT announced.
The lower section of the westbound lanes is expected to flood Monday morning as the Monongahela River rises. All westbound traffic on the boardwalk will be diverted.
As expected, many floods have been reported. More precipitation is expected tomorrow afternoon. Floods are also expected for tomorrow night.

The Connellsville Police Department issued a voluntary evacuation warning for the west side of the community near Yough Park.
"Anyone who has crossed the roadblocks or refused to follow the instructions of a person authorized to direct the traffic will be cited accordingly," the department said on Facebook, noting that volunteer firefighters and police auxiliaries are helping residents of this region.

HISTORY OF ORIGIN:
A flood warning was issued for the counties of Allegheny and Washington until 19:45.
Heavy rains are expected between Sunday and Monday.
Up to 3 to 5 inches can fall.
Sunday's high temperatures will be in the 60s, with gusting winds.
