Several universities and colleges in New England have been named in the US News & World Report, released Monday.
The lists evaluate the schools according to 15 different areas of academic excellence, assign an overall grade to the schools and then rank them according to these grades.
These schools in New England were in the top 100 of the rankings. The word "tie" indicates schools and universities that are related to other institutions.
