In a 27-minute videotaped speech at an event organized in Charleston in 2015 by the DHFC, one could hear DeSantis sing the praises of Horowitz and declare "an honor" to speak at one of his events.

In the video, DeSantis seems to echo the long-held views of President Donald Trump, calling on politicians to "dump the swamp" and accusing some of Washington as a "spa to enjoy."
