Week 3 of college football begins to entice fans to participate in the conference game, as a handful of ranked teams begin their respective conference program.

Other highlights include a memorable program collision, intriguing road tests for programs in the AP Top 25 and a group of five players hoping to win a road victory.

Just like week 2, it is possible that upheavals will occur, but Saturday could also replicate the previous week and keep calm.

Even if the majority of the results are in favor of the best teams of the country, a small reshuffle will take place in the Top 25 because of three clashes between classified opponents.

Predictions

Boise State makes a statement in Stillwater

The game with the most implications of college football in week 3 is not the one you would automatically think of.

No. 17 Boise State does not guarantee a spot in the last four as a representative of the Group of Five on Saturday, but the Broncos could lose their chances in playoffs with a loss to Oklahoma State No. 24.

After Saturday's trip to the Boone Pickens Stadium, Boise State comes out of the limelight and participates in conference games in the Mountain West, where the general talent is not up to any power conference.

If the Broncos want to achieve what the UCF did not do a year ago, they must make a statement against an opponent of Big 12, which must be followed by nine consecutive wins in the Mountain West.

Quarterback Brett Rypien will be the key to success for the Broncos. He has 667 passing yards and seven touchdowns in two wins.

If Rypien manages to set the tone for the Boise State attack early, the Broncos will calm the crowd and build confidence as the game progresses.

Although the Cowboys go 2-0, they lack quarterback experience, and former Taylor Cornelius has to improve against South Alabama, where he had 428 yards but a touchdown and two interceptions.

If the Broncos imposed on Cornelius turnovers in the first period, it could shake the caller, who launched three interceptions against the Missouri State and South Alabama.

Auburn wins the first test of the season in the West of the SEC

The first major clash in the toughest division of college football will take place Saturday afternoon at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Alabama.

If Auburn follows a format similar to his defensive strategy against Washington, he should be able to limit one aspect of the LSU offensive.

Against Washington, Auburn scored running back Myles Gaskin for 75 yards in 17 carries and forced a pair of turnovers on quarterback Jake Browning.

The combination of Stidham's experience, tenacious defense and home advantage will be enough to propel Auburn into the standings with a win.
