The mysterious murder of the Marine Corps sergeant in California leaves his wife "speechless", arguing for answers

The wife of Christopher Truax Jr., a serving sergeant serving US Marines who was fatally wounded in the head over the weekend in California, speaks of the "remarkable" 21-year-old in the hope to find his killer.

Members found Truax bleeding from a bullet in a car parked in Lemon Grove, California, just past midnight Friday, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said in a press release. The authorities attempted to perform CPR, but Truax quickly succumbed to his injuries.

A woman, who has not yet been identified, was sitting in the car with Truax – although police say she is only considered a witness at the moment.

Truax's bride, Alexia, told Fox News that she was "speechless" when she heard that her husband had been killed. The 20-year-old lived in their home in Eagle Pass, Texas, with their 11-month-old son, while Truax was stationed at the Marine Corps Air Base, about 15 miles from Lemon Grove.

"My heart hurts so much and it kills me to know that I will never be able to hear [his] voice again, "said Alexia Fox News Monday. I'm going to pray for [him] every day as I have always been. "

Alexia said that she would continue to look for clues regarding the death of her husband, but right now she is taking time to mourn the loss of her best friend.
