Turkey's Erdogan says Idlib attack in Syria would lead to humanitarian and security risks

ANKARA (Reuters) – A Syrian government offensive in Idlib would bring security and humanitarian risks to Turkey, Europe and beyond, Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Tuesday.

In a Wall Street Journal article, Erdogan also called on the international community to act on Idlib, the latest rebel enclave in Syria, and warned that "the whole world is ready to pay the price".

Erdogan, who met with his counterparts in Russia and Iran at a summit in Tehran last week, also said Russia and Iran have a responsibility to end the humanitarian catastrophe in Idlib.
