Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
One of my favorite pre-season sleepers, Godwin saw only four targets but still finished with three catches, 41 yards, one touchdown and 13.1 PPR points in a win over the New Orleans Saints. He was also second among the Tampa players with 43 clicks played, and the fact that DeSean Jackson suffered a concussion meant that Godwin could be even more involved in the second week.
George Kittle, TE, 49ers in San Francisco
Kittle, another of my pre-season favorites, took part in San Francisco's week 1 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. He led the team in Targets (9) and Catches (5) while finishing with an impressive 14 PPR points. Kittle, who led all the tight finals of the Niners (49) in competition, has an excellent relationship with quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and must be present in all the fantastic leagues.
Ryan Grant, WR, Colts of Indianapolis
If Week 1's statistics are an indication, Grant is the biggest fumble in Indianapolis. He finished Sunday's loss against the Cincinnati Bengals with nine targets, leading the team with eight receptions and his 61 clicks (79%) finished second ahead of TY Hilton as long as Andrew Luck will have it. Andrew Luck, Grant will be on the radar as a potential contributor in all PPR formats.
Phillip Dorsett, WR, New England Patriots
Chris Hogan was the catcher of the Patriots' favorite series during the first week, but that's Dorsett who had the biggest impact. He led the position in the targets (7) and was on the field for 55 snaps (77%), which was second behind Hogan's 66 (92%). All the goat catch passes (Tom Brady) should be on fancy radar, and its use suggests that Dorsett is worth seeing this weekend.
Tyler Lockett, WR, Seattle Seahawks
Lockett produced a nice statistical line for fantasy fans against the Denver Broncos, posting three catches, 59 yards and one touchdown on just four targets. His target share could increase in the coming weeks as Doug Baldwin suffered a knee injury that could cost him time. Regardless, Lockett must now belong to all future leagues. Brandon Marshall should also be on your basic radar.
Geronimo Allison, WR, Packers from Green Bay
Allison jumped into the opening game of the season, scoring five of the eight goals for 69 yards and one touchdown against the Chicago Bears. While he was third of the clichés played (41) at the Packers, he took advantage of his opportunities. As long as Aaron Rodgers is healthy, Allison threatens to publish a nice line of statistics. Although there is a place on the list, keep in mind that a tough match against the Minnesota Vikings is looming.
Tyrod Taylor, QB, Cleveland Browns
Taylor took his first start for the Browns, scoring 197 yards rushing for 77 yards and scoring two TDs in a 21-21 draw against the Pittsburgh Steelers. The next step is a game against the Saints of New Orleans, which made Ryan Fitzpatrick look like Dan Marino last week. Whether you need a streamer of yourself that you just want the depth of the quarter, Taylor is well worth a look.
T.J. Yeldon, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jaguars lost Leonard Fournette to a hamstring injured in their opening game, which gave T.J. Yeldon a chance to shine. He finished with seven targets (three caught) while leading the backfield in touches and slaps (65%). If Fournette is forced to run out of time due to his illness, Yeldon would be on the fantastic radar as a potential Week 2 starter against the New England Patriots.
Phillip Lindsay, RB, Denver Broncos
It hurts as a player Royce Freeman, but Lindsay was the best fantasy of Denver in the first week. While I still see Freeman as the backs to own in fantastic leagues, I simply can not ignore the fact that Lindsay has seen a lot more clichés and touches than most of us do not have. predicted.
Ted Ginn Jr., WR, New Orleans Saints
Ginn became a good sleeper of Week 1 when it was announced that Cameron Meredith (knee) would be inactive against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
