The people of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, honored one of theirs with a heartfelt tribute on Tuesday.
Hundreds of people came to mourn the death of Mac Miller at the Frick Park Blue Slide playground, the favorite meeting place of his childhood after his first album of 2011.

The rapper, born Malcolm James McCormick, was found dead Friday in his Studio City, California. A source told PEOPLE that Miller was in cardiac arrest after an apparent drug overdose. The official cause of death remains to be determined.
For the memorial, many have decorated the famous blue side of the park with candles, flowers and the black and gold colors of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Miller's favorite team in the NFL. Several local artists drew portraits and murals of the local musician throughout the park.
The evening at the park, two blocks from Taylor Allderdice High School where Miller was present, also highlighted addiction and mental health, according to event organizers.

Miller's first single Blue Slide Park The album, titled "Frick Park Market," was one of his biggest singles.
