Former President George W. Bush joins the fundraiser before the mid-term elections.
"Although he prefers to consider himself removed from politics, President Bush recognizes the importance of maintaining the Senate and has decided to help some key candidates," said Freddy Ford, a spokesman for Bush's word.
Bush will attend a private event in Fort Worth, Texas on Wednesday for outgoing Republican Representative Will Hurd, who is seeking his third term in the 2018 mid-term elections. Hurd is running for reelection in a district Trump has lost in the 2016 presidential elections.
On Friday, the former Republican President will campaign for Governor Rick Scott at two separate events.
