The Raiders place Ellis (foot) on the list of injured, Michael Gehlken of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
Ellis is injured on foot in Monday's game against the Rams and it will cost him a lot of time because of that. However, Gehlken indicates that the Raiders were waiting for him to resume practice as soon as he was eligible in six weeks, a plan to activate it later in the campaign. The team recruited veteran Jonathan Hankins to replace him on the roster of 53 players.
