Much has changed for Meghan Markle over the past four months since she became an official member of the Royal Family.
She quickly became friends with Queen Elizabeth, joined new sister-in-law Kate Middleton on several royal releases, and is preparing to leave for her first major international tour with Prince Harry.
But despite her new life as a duchess, she remained faithful to her pre-royal personality – and she has the support of her closest friends as she navigates her new world.
"We're a small group to see and see how she's doing, but she's still the same person," says Daniel Martin, wedding makeup artist and Meghan's longtime friend.
"That's why it's sometimes weird that I think of her this way, because it's not me I know," he adds.

While Meghan settles in London, she also expands her social circle to include new friends through her husband, which was evident at the wedding on August 4 of Harry's close friend, Charlie van Straubenzee.
While Harry was performing his duties, Meghan "was happy and smiling," says another guest. "She was in beautiful shape."

"The tour will be his chance to shine," says Ingrid Seward, author of the recent biography of the Queen and Prince Philip, My husband and I. "She knows she will be in the center and everyone will want to meet her. It's his biggest part yet. I am absolutely convinced that she will be very, very good. "
