After teasing the formation of DC Comics' young heroes, the Titans are finally gathered in the new DC Universe series.
The first trailer of Titans revealed a disparate group of people, all with a troubled past, united by an obscure force that seems to target young Rachel Roth Alias Raven. And now we have our first picture of the assembly team series, courtesy of EW. Viewing.
Titans is the first series of "R-rated" mainstream superheroes, bringing a group of popular animated series characters to the action for the first time. Series producer Geoff Johns spoke of the decision to add broken bones to the mature version of the Teen Titans, while taking the opportunity to make the series more serious.
"It was an opportunity to do less of a conventional procedure show and more than a 12-hour movie," said Johns. "We could focus more on the character and push the envelope, in terms of content."
The series was originally launched as a driver controlled by TNT, but when the network went by, Warner Bros. decided to reorganize it to launch its new DC Universe streaming service.
Seeing the act assembled for the first time in this iteration is likely to spark a lot of feelings among fans, and actor Dick Grayson Brenton Thwaites said their fellowship is expanding behind the scenes.
"My favorite scenes [were] fight [alongside] these guys because, one, I have the impression that the actors were brilliant and adorable with whom to work, and we all got along very well, "Thwaites said. But the scenes were quite difficult and [we had] night pulls in winter in the snow, so I feel that this camaraderie in the actors alone, hopefully, transfers to the television. "
Many other characters from DC Comics will appear in the series as he progresses, including the Doom Patrol, Donna Troy and Batman replacement teammate Jason Todd.
The fans had their first look at the second Robin in the new photos that marked the debut of the character, and it does not seem like he's going to get along with Grayson.
"Jason Todd thinks being Robin is the coolest thing that can happen to someone, and Dick's experience is very different," said Johns.
As for why fans should be excited for this show, while there are many other series of superheroes and movies out of the woods? Johns has a precise answer.
"The Titans always feel relevant because they are lost characters and families found.It's still relevant, because it's human," he said.
Titans premiere on October 12 on DC Universe.
