The "Modern Family" cast lasted nearly 10 seasons, but the end is near for a character.
Co-creator Christopher Lloyd told Entertainment Weekly that a "significant" character will die in the upcoming 10th season of the family comedy, the first of which is scheduled for Sept. 26 on ABC.

Lloyd would not reveal who the character is, but he said the death would have an impact on several episodes. The 10th season also marks the end of the multi-season contract of the show, the next seasons are therefore uncertain. Co-creator Steven Levitan has already spoken about the end of the show, but Lloyd has expressed a different feeling.
"There is a willingness on both sides to make this happen, but there are also complex issues that need to be addressed, and there is a time constraint because we can not take this too long," he said. he declared.
