Harley Pasternak was waiting for Mac Miller to enter his studio on the day of his death.
"I was in the middle of the meeting with someone else who was expecting him to appear about 45 minutes later," the coach said. Miller's staff, Pasternak, on Page Six Wednesday. "One of the ladies who works with me came in with a kind of blank stare on her face and lifted her phone and there was a press release [about Miller’s death]. "
Miller, who died last week of an apparent overdose at the age of 26, started training with Pasternak – a Los Angeles-based star trainer – a year and a half ago thanks to his girlfriend of the time, Ariana Grande.
"Ariana has had such an incredible influence on him that she is a person who has a very healthy lifestyle," said Pasternak, who trained the two stars separately. "She thought Mac and I would be good together and he got hooked [on working out]It took him a bit but when he came in, he loved it.
Pasternak said Miller was always in a good mood and was just looking forward to going on tour after the release of his album in August. He shared a photo on Instagram of rapper "Self Care" on the day of his death with the legend saying that the two had had coffee the day before.
"I know people who are depressed [and] it was not a depressed person, "he said. "It was not planned. He would be furious if he knew he was dead, he would be so upset, "added Miller and Grande," two people who were great together and two people who were really happy, not together ".
Pasternak, who also played basketball with the rapper, told us that he was "super active and athletic "and that, for Miller, the gym was an" oasis to the daily stress of business and work ".
"He was probably the most loved person who enters the studio," he said. "Everyone loves Mac, he was always in a good mood, never in a bad mood. He has the opposite of some egos that you sometimes meet with artists, he does not feel to be the strongest person in the room, [he was] always funny, always light and just the nicest and kindest.
