The late Charles Krauthammer, the Dean of Conservative Commentators, will receive a scholarship for the children of Fox News Channel and Fox Business Network employees.

The Memorial Scholarship honors longtime collaborator Fox News, Pulitzer Prize winner, Harvard-trained psychiatrist and best-selling author. (He died in June at the age of 68.)
Fox News is associated with the National Merit Scholarship Program, which will accept nominations until March 31, 2019; the winners will be announced in the spring of 2020.
The scholarship will award winners $ 2,000 per academic year for up to four years.
To be eligible, junior high school students planning to enter the university in the fall of 2020 must take the PSAT / NMSQT 2018 test and meet several academic and other requirements as determined by the National Merit Scholarship Program.
Winners will be selected on a competitive basis regardless of financial status of family, gender, race, ethnicity or religion.
Each year, the National Merit Scholarship Program will distribute the scholarship directly to the college or accredited American university if the student remains in good standing. The scholarship will not be affected if its parent leaves the company after the reward is communicated.
Krauthammer earned a master's degree in areas as diverse as psychiatry, speech writing, print journalism and television.
He has won the Edwin Dunlop Award for Excellence in Psychiatric Research and Clinical Medicine. Among the honors of journalism are the Pulitzer for Commentary for his Washington Post column in 1987 and the National Magazine Award for his work in The New Republic in 1984. His book "Things That Matter: Three Decades of Passions, Hobby and politics "has become The New York Times bestseller, staying in niche 1 for 10 weeks, and on the celebrity list for nearly 40 years.
Krauthammer presented his views with a moderate, regular and sometimes philosophical style, suited to his experience in psychiatry and a detailed analysis of human behavior. In 1990, after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Mr. Krauthammer declared that the post-Cold War world had gone from bipolar to unipolar, the United States being the only superpower. He also coined the term "Reagan Doctrine", among others.
