Gucci Mane is recruiting Bruno Mars and Kodak Black for the rapper's latest single "Wake Up in the Sky", a break supposedly taken out of the prolific Gucci Mane LP. Genius of evil.
Mars, who also produced the piece, delivers the chorus of skyscrapers – "I drink until I am stuffed / smoked until I am high / Castle on the hill / Wake up" you in the sky / You can not tell me t fly / I know I'm super fly "- with the two rappers each bringing a boastful verse.
"Wake Up in the Sky" features the first appearance of Kodak Black since the rapper was released from prison on August 18, after serving seven months of indictments; Black is currently waiting to be tried for charges of sexual assault.
The single also brings together Gucci Mane and Mars while the rapper appears on the remix of Magic 24K follow "That's what I like"
In August, Gucci Mane teamed up with Lil Pump for the single "Kept Back", the first offer of Genius of evilwho "is coming soon". The rapper has released his last El Gato: the human glacier in 2017.
"I was just compiling a lot of songs, listening to rhythms," Gucci Mane told Zane Lowe of the upcoming album. "I entered with Metro [Boomin]I've made a bunch of songs with Southside, C.N.O.T.E. [I] I just wanted to have a chance to make almost a mixtape of songs with all the producers I love. I've chosen maybe 60 or 70 songs. In general, I just take 20 songs and airs them, but this time I've really recorded a bunch of songs and then picked them up.
