Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is unsure of Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings because of the left knee injury he suffered in the opening game against the Chicago Bears.
"Aaron is better," said Friday to reporters Mike McCarthy, Green Bay's coach. "He was in a meeting this morning, I would say that he feels better than at the beginning of the week."
The Packers did not train Friday but would hold their training session on Saturday. Whether or not Rodgers is a participant remains unknown. However, Rodgers could play Sunday even if he does not participate in the physical phase because he did the mental preparation all week.
In addition, receiver Davante Adams (shoulder) is considered questionable for the Minnesota match. Linebacker Oren Burks (shoulder) is also unsure while Josh Jones (ankle) will miss the match.
– Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette missed training on Friday for the third day in a row and was declared questionable for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots.
Fournette sustained a right thigh injury in Sunday's game against the New York Giants. Jaguar coach Doug Marrone called Fournette a play time.
"We'll see where he is," Marrone told reporters. "If he's ready, will he go."
Marrone said earlier this week that he was comfortable with the fact that Fournette was playing even though he was not practicing. T.J. Yeldon will start if Fournette can not play. Yeldon (ankle) was a limited participant in Friday's training.
– Ben Roethlisberger practiced with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the first time this week, making him the likely quarterback on Sunday when the Kansas City Chiefs visit Heinz Field.
Roethlisberger missed the trials on Wednesday and Thursday with an elbow injury, but worked with the starting attack on Friday. Roethlisberger declined to comment and head coach Mike Tomlin provided no additional details. Roethlisberger was intercepted three times and lost two fumbles in a 21-21 draw at Week 1 against the Cleveland Browns.
Backup quarterback Josh Dobbs took the first team representatives on Wednesday and Thursday, said Tomlin. Dobbs said that he would be ready "if my number is called."
– Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota is unsure of Sunday's game against the Houston Texans, who were injured in the right elbow.
Mariota was a restricted participant for the second consecutive day Friday after being registered as a full participant on Wednesday. Titan coach Mike Vrabel was unable to consolidate Mariota's chances of playing. Vrabel has offered that backup quarterback Blaine Gabbert will likely see the action as well.

– Atlanta Falcons midfielder Devonta Freeman will miss the Carolina Panthers on Sunday due to a persistent knee injury, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.
According to the report, coach Dan Quinn ruled out his departure when he was sidelined to train again on Friday after failing the tests throughout the week. Freeman was subsequently listed on the team's injury report.

– The Tampa Bay Buccaneers receiver, DeSean Jackson, is considered questionable with a concussion and shoulder injury for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jackson played for the Eagles from 2008 to 2013. He made five receptions for 146 yards and two touchdowns in a 48-40 win over the New Orleans Saints before being injured.
Tampa Bay ruled out cornerback Brent Grimes (groin) and defensive tackle Vita Vea (calf) for the contest. Defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul (knee) is questionable.
– The Philadelphia Eagles, by overturning Darren Sproles' status for Sunday's Tampa Bay Buccaneers, are in the air after missing their second consecutive training, according to reports.
Sproles, 35, was ruled out Thursday and Friday because of a "slight hamstring problem," according to coach Doug Pederson. The 13-year-old won the shot in the first third of the Eagles' first win against Atlanta. He ran five times with 10 yards and four catches for 22 yards. He also served as the team's leading pool go against the Falcons.
If Sproles is out on Sunday, the Eagles are waiting to give more touches to Jay Ajayi and Corey Clement. Pederson admitted he eased Ajayi's workload against Atlanta after battling a foot injury during the pre-season. But Ajayi became what Pederson called the "battlehorse" of the second half against the Falcons, finishing with 15 runs for 62 yards and two touchdowns.
Clement and receiver DeAndre Carter are both candidates for Sunday homework if the Sproles can not play.
– The New York Giants were hoping defender Olivier Vernon would be back for Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys, but coach Pat Shurmur said the team had ruled him out.
Vernon missed the first game of the season due to a sprained ankle suffered at the end of training camp. Shurmur said earlier this week that he was waiting to see Vernon on the field, but after the linebacker missed a third session on Friday, the coach said he did not would not dress for the game.
In 2017, Vernon had 37 tackles, 6 1/2 sacks, one interception and two forced fumbles in 12 games.
–Detroit Lions Pro guard Bowl T.J. Lang will miss Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers following a back injury.
Lang missed most of the pre-season with a foot injury before suffering a back injury during the season's loss to the New York Jets.
Defensive end Ezekiel Ansah (shoulder) and running back LeGarrette Blount (shoulder) are considered dubious. Ansah also left the Jets game and an MRI examination revealed no significant damage.
– Eric Berry, chief of security for the Kansas City Chiefs, was dubious for Pittsburgh's Sunday game against Heinz Field. He had a heel injury since training camp and missed the opening of last week.
Berry would make progress, but there is no timetable for his return.
He tore an Achilles tendon in the first game of the 2017 season. He was named in the All Pro First Team three times in his career.
– The Los Angeles Rams scored linebacker Mike Barron as dubious due to an Achilles injury. He missed all the tests so far this season.
