The evacuation order for the Lowcountry is lifted as Tropical Storm Florence moves out of the coastal areas and into the Midlands.

Governor Henry McMaster's office ended Saturday evacuation from Charleston, Dorchester, Berkeley and Colleton counties. The end of the evacuation takes effect at noon.

"Returning residents are encouraged to exercise patience and expect extended travel times, block roads or return to evacuated areas.

"Although weather conditions have improved, motorists need to pay attention to fallen trees, fallen power lines and stagnant water in and around roads. Citizens should also anticipate power outages at home or in their businesses, which can last several days. "

Evacuations for Georgetown and Horry counties are still ongoing. Local officials have asked the governor to keep the evacuation in the northern coastal areas while law enforcement and other agencies assess the damage.

The rise of evacuation in the Lowcountry comes as Florences moves away from the coast and the Midlands. The Colombian National Meteorological Service said the storm is expected to become a tropical depression on Saturday night.
