Maisie Williams joins LOCK, Rooster Teeth's new Mecha Anime

Today at RTX London, Rooster Teeth's annual fandom convention, gen: LOCK creator and showrunner Gray G. Haddock announced the addition of Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones, Early Man, new mutants) to gen: LOCK casting voice, and released a third teaser for the show. Williams will play "Cammie MacCloud", a mischievous scythe Scottish hacker, and the youngest rookie of the year. gen: LOCK program.

In the teaser, the voice of David tennant"Doc" discusses the backgrounds of two others gen: LOCK candidates: Williams "Cammie" and Koichi YamaderaThe tank driver, "Kazu Iida". gen: LOCKThe last free society of the Earth is on the side of the losers of a world war and recruits a diverse team of young pilots to control the next generation of giant and armed robot corps, known as mecha. These audacious recruits will find, however, that their new capabilities are at a reasonable cost.

"Working with Maisie is as fun as possible," said Haddock. "Her energy and sense of humor that she brings to Cammie are an absolute delight. I'm short of superlatives to describe how good this casting is for the characters, but Maisie really looks like what Cammie does in my head – she's awesome.

gen: LOCKThe voice of Michael B. Jordan (Black Panther, Credo) which expresses the main character, Julian Chase, and also includes Dakota Fanning (The alienist, Twilight Saga) expressing the role of a mech expert and Chase's passion, Miranda Worth; Kōichi Yamadera (Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shellurging Kazu Iida, one of the new recruits transferred from Japanese military forces, to fight alongside Chase in the gen: LOCK program; and Tennant expressing Dr. Rufus Weller, aka Doc, a senior scientist from the Experimental Science Unit (ESU) and the inventor of gen: LOCK technology.

Lindsay Jones (Ruby Rose's voice in "RWBY") will hear Razzle, Chase's squadron leader. Miles Luna (voice of Yellow Arc in "RWBY") will hear Miguel "Migas" Garza, Chase's best friend. Blaine Gibson (Nerf's voice in "Camp Camp") will hear Sinclair, an experienced ranger recruited into the gen: LOCK program; Haddock (Roman Torchwick's voice in "RWBY") will hear Leon, a mech band leader; and Chad James (Boomstick voice in "DEATH BATTLE") will hear Jodie, a guy pilot and close friend of Miranda.

gen: LOCK is the second animated series and the third animated 3D series of Rooster Teeth Animation. RWBY, entering its sixth season this fall, is a global anime phenomenon Monty Oum. Red vs blue is Rooster Teeth's first 3D animated series that started as a machinima production before incorporating a custom animation and is the longest web series of all time. Outlier Productions, the Jordanian production company, co-produced gen: LOCK with the rooster teeth.
