Map of Utah Fires: Fires near my home right now September 15

Utah is seeing an influx of new fires, some of which are causing evacuations. Here is a list of the major active fires on September 15, according to Utah Fire Info, NIFC.gov and other sources, as well as maps showing where the larger ones are. Bald Mountain Fire and Fire in Pole Creek

The Bald Mountain fire, in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forests, is 5,000 acres and 0% according to NIFC (but Utah Fire Info now says the fire is 17,760 acres). The fire was caused by lightning.

Meanwhile, the Pole Brook Fire is at 62,844 acres, according to the Utah Fire Info. (Inciweb notes the size of 68,347 acres and 2% contained.) This fire was caused by lightning. It is located 12 miles northeast of Nephi, Utah, off the Mount Nebo Loop Highway.

Jake Jones, who was hunting near Bald Mountain at the end of August, told KUTV that he had seen the fire for the first time. At the time, he thought that a couple of shovels could have put out the fire.

Evacuation details: Evacuations took place in the area, including more than 5,000 residents from Woodland Hills and Elk Ridge, as well as the Cover Canyon and the Spanish Fork Canyon, KSL reported.

Pre-evacuation notice were issued for Diamond Fork Canyon.

Bear trap fire

According to the NIFC, this fire represents 12,246 acres and contains 25% acres. It is 44 miles southeast of Price. This was caused by lightning. On September 11, the latest update from the BIA Forest and Forest Fire Agency, Uintah & Ouray, indicated that hot, dry weather was leading to smoke and increased activity, although area itself did not increase. Bender Mountain Fire

According to the NIFC, this fire is located in Vernal District at 4,113 acres and 85%. It is 17 miles northwest of Dutch John. The fire was caused by the man, but no fire was suspected.

Hollow coal fire

This fire consists of 31,661 acres and 96 per cent from September 12. It is located 11 miles northeast of Price and 15 miles southeast of Spanish Fork, Utah. This was caused by lightning. It is close to the SR-6 and Dairy Fork. It is not on the NIFC website but is still on the Utah Fire Info map. The fire was transferred to a local team on August 30th. The fire behavior is minimal. D1 Pondo Prescribed Fire

The Utah Fire Info map lists the fire prescribed by the Pondo D1, which should be set on fire on October 1 at 1 am. It extends over 3,000 acres and is expected to end on November 15. in the Scraper Springs area and a potential 800 acres north of Long Park Reservoir.

Herriman Fire

This is not on the Utah Fire Info map or on the NIFC list, but the most recent fire (which consists of two fires) has just begun today, September 15th. You can see photos and videos in the history of Heavy. at Herriman and the second started near I-80. The first fire destroyed three houses.

Evacuation details: People close to the first fire were asked to leave their homes and evacuate. Mandatory evacuation has been issued for Hi County. An evacuation center was being installed at Butterfield Canyon Elementary School, at 6860 Mary Leizan Lane in Herriman.

Solitary fire

According to Inciweb, this fire in Bryce Canyon National Park is 684 acres and contains 0%. It is 11 miles southwest of Cannonville. (It could have reached 554 acres as of September 14, said SU Independent.)

This fire is listed on Inciweb with Riggs Fire. Inciweb noted: "There are three trail closures currently in place. In the Dixie National Forest, Grandview Trail (066), from the junction of Willis Creek to Lower Podunk. In Bryce Canyon National Park, the Riggs Spring Loop Trail is closed, including the connecting trail between Riggs Springs and the Grandview Trail. Murdock fire

According to Inciweb, this fire in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest amounts to 601 acres and 90%. It is 20 miles east of Kamas.

Canyon light

This fire is in the Fishlake National Forest. According to the NIFC, it contains 360 acres and 50%. It is 10 miles northeast of Loa at 38,464 latitude, -111,489 longitude. It is listed on NIFC but Inciweb no longer updates the details of the fire.

Riggs fire

The Riggs fire in the Dixie National Forest was 587 acres as of September 14, said SU Independent. (But on September 15, Inciweb said that it was now 766 acres.)

This fire is registered on Inciweb with solitary fire. Inciweb noted: "There are three trail closures currently in place. This light is listed on the Utah Fire Info map. It's 80 acres. However, local sources said a few days ago that the fire was 100% contained.
