Moments later, the camera stopped and two people were seen walking behind Seidel, seeming to have no problem with the wind.

Social media users scoffed at the journalist and said he was exaggerating the storm.

"So dramatic!", A social media user tweeted with the video. "Weather Channel guy getting ready for his life, while two guys are walking right in front of him."

"When two teenagers walk nonchalantly in the background of your shot and denounce your work of interpreting interpreting that you can hardly withstand the wind," wrote a user of social media.

The Weather Channel defended Mr. Seidel, claiming that he "was trying to maintain his position on the wet grass" while the two people seen in the background were walking on concrete, reported the Washington Post.
