You may not have to pay more for some high-tech gadgets.

According to Bloomberg, a category of technology products, including Apple Watch and AirPods, will be spared by the next round of Trump administration tariffs on Chinese products.

The government is expected to publish next Monday a list of Chinese products that will be subject to a tariff of 10%, told Bloomberg people familiar with the subject. These products are worth up to 200 billion dollars. But a product code that covers wireless devices and includes gadgets such as smartwatches, fitness trackers and other products from companies such as Fitbit is not on this list.

Apple and Fitbit did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

According to Bloomberg, the other products under the excluded product code are Apple HomePod Speakers, BeatsWL Headphones, and AirPort and Time Capsule Internet Routers. These imports are worth about $ 12 billion, a person familiar with the subject told the publication.

Earlier this month, Apple wrote a letter at the US sales representative's office saying that rates would make products like his watch, AirPods and HomePod more expensive. He also argued that the tariff would be worse for the United States than for China.

The White House and the US Trade Representative's office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
