Hey, here's an incredibly damn story for you, of the deeply haunted island that's Britain: spiders were blamed for a weird and scary nursery rhyme Ipswich in the UK.
"Excuse me?" you can ask. Well, here are the basics: a "tormented" mother told Ipswich Star that she had been woken every night by the distortions of a strange interpretation of the classic nursery rhyme. It's raining, it's pouring, who has played several times. Here is a recording of the song recorded by another local Ipswich concerned:
Yes, it's done.
The woman called the board about the music, and next time workers followed her to a nearby industrial area, where music was played through a loudspeaker. Here is a statement from the board:
This is unique in our experience – it was hard to believe that a nursery rhyme would play in the middle of the night.
But we take all the complaints extremely seriously and ask the residents who contacted us to let us know when they were playing so that we could investigate properly.
We took a call around midnight and immediately went to the Bramford Road area to find out more. We appreciate the fact that people living nearby would find it quite scary.
So why did the owner of this industrial place shout some crazy? Hereditary shit on their speakers? They say it's an automated system to deter thieves, and it's been triggered by spiders crawling on motion detectors:
The sound is only meant to deter opportunistic thieves arriving on our property and it was designed only to be heard by people from our territory. We are now aware of the problem – the motion detectors were triggered by spiders crawling through the lenses of our cameras and it seems we showed them too hard. We spoke to the resident who brought it to our attention and adapted it so that it does not happen again.
Well, that's pretty much the worst thing I've ever heard. Thank you, England!
