OK, which city gets Heinz's Mayochup sauce first? Vote today

Americans may think that it is too difficult to mix.

Or maybe they would like the proportions to be perfect.

Whatever the call, Heinz will bow to the public's demand for Mayochup – a mix of mayonnaise and spicy ketchup – and start selling it in the US later this month.

But before that, residents of the city that receives the most votes on Twitter will be able to try this "hot sauce" first through a food truck with fries and a lot of Mayochup to soak.

The cities in the running are Culver City, California; Chicago; and New York, three cities considered the most passionate by the hybrid condiment. (Or, says Heinz, you can vote for a city of your choice.) The vote closes at 10 pm Pacific Daylight Time Tuesday, September 18th.

Mayochup became an Internet sensation earlier this year when Twitterverse discovered that Heinz was marketing the mix in the Middle East and began asking for it here.

"After seeing the unprecedented passion surrounding this product, including some 1 million votes on social media and 500,000 votes in favor of the US, launching Mayochup in the United States was a no-brainer," said Nicole. Kulwicki, Marketing Director at Heinz. , in a report.

According to the list of ingredients, Mayochup contains (in order of prevalence) soybean oil, high fructose corn syrup, tomato concentrate, white distilled vinegar, egg yolks and small amounts of salt, sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, lemon juice extracted (for color) plus various preservatives and other polysyllabic additives.
