Hillary Clinton fears that President Donald Trump will become more and more paranoid after the November elections and that he plunges his own White House into deeper chaos.
Obama's Secretary of State and 2016 Democratic Nominee, who Trump beat, appeared on MSNBC Rachel Maddow's show promote his book What happened, first published in 2017 but now has a new epilogue written by Clinton.
"What worries me, Rachel, is that after this election, this president will go into large numbers of firefighters," Clinton said in the show Tuesday night.
"And if we do not have one or two congressional chambers in place, it will be even more uncontrollable and irresponsible. He will fire people at the White House. He will dismiss the people of his administration who, according to him, cross him, question him, weaken him.
"The president is about to be out of control. There are still people who, by their own admission, try to hold back to prevent worse things from happening.
Trump is frustrated by the leaks inside the White House. More recently, a "senior manager of the administration" wrote an anonymous editorial for The New York Times who excoriated the president and said that his own staff was actively working to undermine him to limit the damage he could do.

"I understand the dilemma they think they face. They think that if they are not there, you know, after them, the deluge. There will be a total disaster, "she said.
But she added that those inside the administration who were preoccupied with the president "owe it to the country" to break the cover and resign.
"And they owe it to the people who supported Donald Trump because I do not think these people really appreciate what is potentially possible under this presidency," Clinton said.
The turnover in the Trump administration is already high. According to the Brookings Institution, which tracks the turnover of the Trump administration, there is a 57% turnover rate in the president's A-team composed of 65 senior positions at the White House, not counting the firm .
Seven positions in his 16-member cabinet have changed hands since the beginning of his administration, including five because appointees have resigned under pressure.
Polls suggest Trump is in a difficult situation in November's midterms. Republicans currently control both houses of Congress. But Democrats are likely to overthrow at least one home, which poses a number of threats to Trump, including the risk of indictment.
According to the FiveThirtyEight survey, Democrats average 49.2% and Republicans 40.2% with less than two months before the vote.
