Marin surely has anchored Jack. Quiet and talking at the Novack dining room table, Heather sleeping upstairs, she glances through her best friend's father and says, "You're just making pancakes and you're hoping everything's fine. Amen. Alas, there are farm eggs or pebble patties in jail, for Jack or for anyone else (maybe even salad dressings). All he's getting now, it's a plastic cup of tap water in the interrogation room of Keller's PD, while Heather argues for how and why he could raping her best friend, hiding that the resulting child was Julian. Vera for years through a fake company of shells so as not to betray her secret.
But as Frankie's parents discovered in the first season, the people you healed and leave to unravel their personal wreckage have a way back in your life. Jack, overwhelmed by the loss of his wife (a circumstance pretty obvious in his absence), took control by taking away the power of someone else. He is no better than Lionel, in fact, and he is certainly no better than Vera, who confesses his own tyrannical tendencies to Harry, but did not assault anyone under his command or commit his acts. the most horrible.
She is however in motion, with Julian, on a female friend of Manhattan's Chinatown, while dodging the cops, eager to change their identity and start again in a new presumed common Washington State. Once again, she burned Mosswood's ritual barn, an act that could be seen as a new beginning, but also a disavowal of psycho-spiritual pursuits. It's unlikely and Julian knows it. So, on Harry's advice, he makes a choice, a choice of his own. It is a smarter choice than those made by anyone this season, a commentary on the so-called wisdom of adults but also the delicacy of tracing its own path to the era of training before they too carry the permanent markings of trauma and pain. Marin, Julian's mother, was also her ultimate cautionary tale, more than Harry or Vera or her half-sister Heather. His tragic death, and the terrible story that preceded it, were as much a call to mind to Julian that his birth was given to Vera in 2005. (It is also rather indicated that he left New Horizons at the same age as his mother). when his potential was short.)
What to do with Vera, anyway? She is not a criminal, not by the standards of Harry and the court, nor is she responsible for the choices she and she made following her example. (The death of Lionel, probably due to the tea Jimson, was the mother of La Heather, not mentioned openly, but the flashback of these deadly flowers confirmed the beacon by pushing the daisies). Looking forward to a great stranger with Julian without consulting him and – as it is finally revealed – engaged in a very intense fire therapy with Harry who almost left him asphyxiated autoerotically.
However, she certainly has the detective attached, no less than Marin to scratch in Jack's coping techniques to understand how to be a small town widower with a gay girl struggling to find love. Vera warns Harry that saving Julian would not be the same as retiring from the ashes of his smoking childhood. And it was not All he could do in Niagara Falls was to watch Julian from afar, to wait, but never to be completely overwhelmed by the peace. Julian can also see it on Harry's face, but Harry made his choices. He just can not live with them. Julian, somehow, can (even if he totally murdered a woman who loved him and a poor schmuck eager to help).
Season two of The fisherman was tainted by an arrangement after another, the cost of the finding was so ominous that, paradoxically, it seemed like a straight line. However, there are some points that are not connected. Did everyone, even the man in a ponytail, let down Mosswood for good? Has Carmen Bell benefited from any justification? Does Glenn Fisher have a kind of reconciliation? Are there any men in town who have sworn allegiance to Lionel and slipped into the fabric of their community as if he had not been torn apart? Will Harry ask Vera for an appointment or simply pack her stuff and her emotional baggage and return to Dorcester? (How could he, with so much to personally and professionally explore in his hometown and at least one open room at Jack and Heather's, and most importantly, does Brick finally get a promotion or what?

• The husband and wife duo Carrie Coon and Tracy Letts are really fighting for an unpleasant physical performance.

• At least, Chief Lidell was not a total dick.
• Elisha Henig was great. Jessica Biel, however, missed the show.
• motel key in jeans? Something tells me Jack wanted to get caught /
