Bond 25 is back in the race, with a new name at his helm.
Producers James Bond, Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, as well as Eon and MGM met with various directors following the release of Danny Boyle.

The deadline announced today that Eon Productions and MGM have chosen Cary Joji Fukunaga.
Fukunaga will assume the role of Danny Boyle's director for James Bond 25, still retaining Daniel Craig in the eponymous role.
Filming for Bond 25 will begin in March, with a global release date scheduled for February 14, 2020.
The name of Fukunaga flew under the radar of many filmmakers, who focused on the best-known names like Christopher Nolan to direct Craig on his final outing as Bond.
Who is Cary Joji Fukunaga?
Cary Joji Fukunaga is best known for his critically acclaimed movie Netflix, Beasts of No Nation.
Fukunaga has made a multitude of short films, both as writer and director.
These include Victoria para Chino in 2004, screened at the Sundance Film Festival, Kofi in 2008, a black and white film, and Sleepwalking in the Rift in 2012.
His first feature film is Sin Nombre, which he both writes and directs, which receives positive reviews from critics.
Fukunaga's ambitious adaptation of the classic Jane Eyre novel was well received.
The film featured Mia Wasikowska, Michael Fassbender, Jamie Bell and Judi Dench, and the film's costume designer was nominated for an Oscar.
The Fukunaga adaptation in 2011 was also nominated for a Goya Award for Best European Film in 2012.
However, Fukunaga might be best known for his work on Beasts of No Nation, which is based on a novel of the same name by Uzodinma Iweala.
He directed, wrote and filmed Beasts of No Nation, which saw Idris Elba play the role of commander, a main character.
Fukunaga was then nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Director, as well as for Best Photography for beasts from No Nation, and the film itself was nominated for the best photo.
Not to mention that he directed the eight episodes of the first season of True Detective.
Although he flew under the radar of those who speculated on seeing Bond 25, Fukunaga seems to be a wise choice given his outstanding work.
Bond 25 will be in theaters on February 14, 2020.
