A Drug Enforcement Agency plane made an emergency landing in the Sugar Land, Texas area on Wednesday, injuring one of the three special agents on board.
The group was conducting a flight training exercise, said Wednesday evening Houston DEA business agent Wendell Campbell.
"The plane had mechanical problems and they had to make an emergency landing," said Campbell, adding that the injured officer had been taken to hospital and released by the after.
The Cessna single-engined aircraft collided with several vehicles when it fell on Voss Road near Highway 6. A video from NBC's local subsidiary, KPRC-TV, showed that one of these vehicles was a Tesla Model X white.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk reacted to the incident on Twitter: "Wow, I'm glad they're fine!"
The broken plane cut some power lines, but no one on the ground was injured, reported KPRC-TV.
Troy Nehls, the sheriff of Fort Bend County, Texas, told the Houston Chronicle, "Imagine you are descending Voss Road in Fort Bend County and that a plane is suddenly hitting your vehicle. That would be enough for me to be in cardiac arrest. "
"We are very lucky that it is not much more catastrophic than it was," Nehls said.
