The slow starter started quickly.
It's good for those who follow my NFL choices. After two weeks, I'm 22-8-2 in a row and 18-13-1 against the gap. That's cooking – if I do not say it myself.
More on the NFL
This week seems to be a little more difficult.
There are a lot of great lines out there. the The Atlanta Falcons, who have only three goals on the New Orleans Saints, look odd, as do the Miami Dolphins.
The 17 points the Minnesota Vikings give the Buffalo Bills are not enough.
Let's hope that I can stay as hot as the weather in South Florida, which has been hot lately.
New York Jets in Cleveland
Thursday at 20:20 ET (NFLN)
Line: Browns -3
Is it the week? Will the Browns finally win a match? I say that they do it. The Jets did not look good against Miami, and it's a short week on the road for Sam Darnold. Browns' defense will get the best of it.
To choose: Browns 21, Jets 14

New Orleans to Atlanta
1 pm ET (Fox)
Line: Falcons -3
The Saints struggled in their first two games, especially in defense. Atlanta seemed to correct the attack on Carolina, especially in the red zone. I would expect the Falcons to put a lot of points here, but New Orleans too. It's close, but the Falcons will take it.
To choose: Falcons 33, Saints 28
Green Bay in Washington
1 pm ET (Fox)
Line: Packers -3
Aaron Rodgers seemed to play well with the injured knee last week and another week will help him even more. The Redskins fought the Colts last week, especially in attack. This is not a good thing against the Packers and Rodgers.
To choose: Packers 27, Redskins 21
Indianapolis in Philadelphia
1 pm ET (Fox)
Line: Eagles -6
The Eagles bring back Carson Wentz for this one. But he is limited as to the weapons he has. Nevertheless, the Colts play consecutive road games, which is always difficult. The defense is improved, but not here. The eagles take it.
To choose: Eagles 27, Colts 13
Buffalo Minnesota
1 pm ET (CBS)
Line: Vikings -17
This will be the first start on the road for Josh Allen, the rookie quarterback of the Bills. He did some good things last week on his first home start, but it's a major test. It will not be pretty behind his line. The Bills are also bad in defense. The Vikings win in an explosion.
To choose: Vikings 37, Bills 10
Oakland to Miami
1 pm ET (CBS)
Line: Dolphins -3
This is the second game on the road for the Raiders, and it's a long journey to play in hot conditions. It's a challenge. Moreover, they did not play well. The Dolphins are 2-0 and they did good things on both sides of the ball. It's not always good for Miami – and it will not be the case here – but the Dolphins will be 3-0.
To choose: Dolphins 23, Raiders 16
Denver to Baltimore
1 pm ET (CBS)
Line: Ravens -5
The Broncos left 2-0, but the offense was uneven at times. It will be a problem in Baltimore against the defense of the Ravens. Baltimore will have been away 10 days after playing last Thursday. It is important. The crows take it.
To choose: Ravens 26, Broncos 17
Cincinnati in Carolina
1 pm ET (CBS)
Line: Panthers -3
The Bengals are 2-0 and will rest well after playing Thursday night. Carolina did not seem good against Atlanta, especially in defense. I think Andy Dalton and the Bengals' improved attack will make the most of this match. The Bengals will win a game on the road.
To choose: Bengals 24, Panthers 20
New York Giants in Houston
1 pm ET (Fox)
Line: Texans -6
The Giants play consecutive road games and did not look good last week against the Cowboys. The Texans will play their first game at home, losing the first two. Being back home will matter, but the Giants will hang out in this one.
To choose: Texans 27, Giants 24
Tennessee in Jacksonville
1 pm ET (CBS)
Line: Jaguars -6.5
The key here will be the Jaguars' emotion after their big win over the Patriots last week. Since their loss to the Titans twice last season, I think the attention will be good. Tennessee is plagued by injuries, including quarterback Marcus Mariota, and it's a problem against the Jaguars' front. Jaguars win by 10.
To choose: Jaguars 24, Titans 14
San Francisco to Kansas City
1 pm ET (Fox)
Line: Heads-6.5
This will be Patrick Mahomes' first home run, on fire. Too bad the defense of the chiefs is not very good right now. That means we are going to witness a shootout between Mahomes and Jimmy Garoppolo. It will be fun to see the Chiefs win a top match.
To choose: Chiefs 31, 49ers 28
L.A. Chargeurs at L.A. Rams
16:05 ET (CBS)
Line: Rams -7
The Battle of Los Angeles is an interesting game early in the season. The Rams performed well in their first two wins, but this is a step forward in the competition. The Rams will move the ball to attack, but I think Philip Rivers will keep him out. The Rams take it, but it is tight.
To choose: Rams 27, chargers 24
Dallas to Seattle
4:25 ET (Fox)
Line: Seahawks -1
The Seahawks will play their first game at home, which will bring extra juice into an already busy building. The problem is that they are not the same team. Dallas seemed impressive in defeating the Giants, but it will be different. The Seahawks will gather in front of the locals to find a way to win this one.
To choose: Seahawks 21, Cowboys 17
Chicago to Arizona
4:25 ET (Fox)
Line: Bear -6
The Cardinals were lamentable the first two weeks, and the offense was really bad. This is not a good thing against an improved Bears defense. Nevertheless, I think that the cardinals will stay close. The Bears will win it late, but it's tight.
To choose: Bears 19, Cardinals 16
New England to Detroit
20:20 ET (NBC)
Line: Patriots -6.5
The Patriots play consecutive road games after losing to the Jaguars last week. But that will not matter here. Lions are bad. They have major problems in defense. Even if Josh Gordon does not play, Tom Brady occupies the Lions.
To choose: Patriots 33, Lions 23
Pittsburgh to Tampa Bay
Monday at 8:15 pm ET (ESPN)
Line: Steelers -1
The Steelers do not look good, while the Bucs fly high. The Steelers defense has been putrid, which will again be against this great power attack from Tampa Bay. Ryan Fitzpatrick will have another great day. The Bucs remain undefeated.
To choose: Bucs 30, Steelers 28
