Several people were killed on Thursday after a "horrific shootout" at a distribution center in Aberdeen, Maryland, said a law enforcement official at the Associated Press.
A law enforcement official told The Associated Press that several people had been killed in the shooting after the police had initially stated that there were "multiple casualties". The Harford County Sheriff's Office has confirmed shooting near the Spesutia and Perryman roads in Aberdeen. FOX Baltimore reports that the first shots were reported just after 9am at the Liberty Support Facility, part of Rite Aid's distribution center.

It was not known whether the officials had taken someone in custody in connection with the incident.
"We are closely watching this horrible shooting in Aberdeen, our prayers are with all those who have been affected, including our first responders, and the state is ready to offer any support," said Maryland Governor Larry Hogan.
