SAN DIEGO – The motor vehicle department solved IT problems affecting several offices in the state on Thursday.
The technical problem has forced many places in the state, including San Diego County, to limit the services they offer. The Hillcrest, Clairemont and Chula Vista offices were facing problems.
"There is a problem with a router and the staff is working to fix it as quickly as possible," said Cristina Valdivia, DMV manager.
About two hours later, computer problems were resolved.
"The DMV solved a router problem that was affecting the field offices in the state. The offices involved are now back and handling customer transactions, "said DMV officials.
