A delta passenger removed from the plane for a flight attendant who makes the head

A Delta passenger was taken to jail after he chased a combat agent and shouted at another.

A "violent" and "unruly" passenger forced a Delta flight to land an emergency landing in Oklahoma City on Friday morning.

Flight 2603 was headed from Salt Lake City to Orlando when Derek Edward Maas, 28, was detained. The captain then determined that he had to be removed from the flight to ensure the safety of other passengers and crew, reports KOCO 5.

Before the incident, the crew members told the police that Maas appeared to be drunk, but did not seem dangerous. During the flight, the passenger then ordered two alcoholic drinks. When he tried to order another, the flight attendant refused. The situation quickly degenerated and Maas became verbally aggressive towards one crewmember and hit another, according to KOCO 5.

Upon landing at Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma, local police met Maas, who took him to jail and admitted to the police that he was drinking before the flight.

A spokesman for Delta issued the following statement to Fox News:

"Delta applauds the quick action and professionalism of Delta's 2603 flight crew operating from Salt Lake City, Orlando to Oklahoma City after a client became unruly and violent on board. The crew withheld the client and the flight was respected by law enforcement in Oklahoma City, where he was abducted and taken into custody. The flight continued to Orlando, arriving two hours away. The safety and security of our customers and crew is always Delta's top priority. "
