Just one week from their monstrous Bellator 206 event in San Jose, California, Bellator delivered the Bellator 205 to prepare us for what's going on around us.

The best cards often end up being those that go unnoticed. This can certainly be said about Bellator 205.

The main card of Bellator, half of the Pitbull brothers, Patricky "Pitbull" Freire (20-8), who beat Roger Huerta (24-11-1) in his second promotional fight.

The action started quickly and furiously while Huerta was down, which gave fans the nostalgia for his era when he was in top form and appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

Not responding to his nickname, "El Matador" accelerated the pace and swayed and traded bombs with Pitbull, while mixing beautiful kicks to the body. Everyone took big shots, but Huerta seemed to take over all the trade before Pitbull took it to 20 seconds of the first round.

In the second, Pitbull adjusted and injured Huerta from the start while he was starting to pour it before crushing Huerta with a nasty broken right nose.

Result: Pitbull via KO (punches) at 0:43 of the second round

In the next action, we saw the return to MMA of the current Bellweight kickboxing champion for "Miss Dynamite" flies Denise Kielholtz (2-2) while she was facing the always disappointing Veta Arteaga (5-2).

Arteaga began by controlling the center of the cage as she usually does, seeking to exert pressure with her hit or grapple. Entering with her punches early, she made Kielholtz react, who was usually about to play, with a little flippancy. Yet she was still effective in countering Arteaga's aggression.

As the heat continued, Kielholtz's technique sharpened and she started shooting clean shots as Arteaga entered her pocket to fight or fight. The style of the fight continued in the second round, but Arteaga was trying to get things done more often in the middle.

She would find a grounding at one point but would not keep long the kickboxing champion of the black belt judo. It did not matter because Kielholtz, in the hubbub, finally gave in and Arteaga did not let her go.

Result: Arteaga via submission (guillotine choke) at 4:24 of the second round

Unbeaten Rafael Lovato Jr (9-0) was back at Bellator 205 as he faced John Salter (15-4).

A striking technical battle during the first run, it was Salter who would find the best of the entry and exit exchanges. Everyone was kicking and kicking, but it was Salter who found Lovato's chin more often than Lovato in Salter.

In the second round, it was the same until Salter hit a big attack that found Lovato working for guillotines until the end of the tour.

The third seemed similar to the first but with an added urgency since the fight was probably related to the judge's dashboards. After a slip of Salter, Lovato would follow him to the ground and that was where they would stay.

Going towards Salter's back with the passing of time, Lovato unleashed methodical and precise punches that seemed to be able to stop the fight.

In the end, it did not matter if Lovato softened enough Salter so that he could find the deep rear throttle to force the cock. 9-0, six bids for Lovato (two KOs).

Result: Lovato Jr. via submission (naked starter) at 4:27 of the third round

Upon entering the main event, we had a quick action … but it did not last long.

The undefeated 23-year-old heavyweight in the category, AJ McKee (12-0) continued to show he was right against John Macapa (21-4-2).

The two quickly worked and launched unorthodox strikes. Especially McKee who at one point managed a revolving kick that saw the end of the fight happen soon after.

But it was Macapa who would make the mistake of getting stuck in front of McKee, who seems to have been too aggressive while he was trying to land. However, Macapa is found with a beautiful left hand coming out of nowhere.

Result: McKee via KO (punch) at 1:09 of the first round
