ATLANTA – Police said a group of teenagers would have terrorized residents of some parts of the Buckhead and Midtown on Bird and Lime electric scooters.
Social media reports about these types of issues have increased in recent weeks.
11Alive News asked police in Atlanta earlier this week for reports of child harassment in Atlanta.
At the time, police said they did not see scooters as part of a general criminal trend.

On Friday, they came back and clarified their answer, because most of the time what teenagers were doing was not a crime.
According to the police, in many cases, interactions are annoying or potentially frightening for those who meet adolescents, but are not considered criminals.
Most reports indicated that children were doing things like shouting at people, driving too close to them, and going through the shops.

However, the police said that in one case, an arrest warrant was issued against a 16-year-old man accused of assaulting a worker during a Jimmy John operation. This teenager is accused of single battery for the alleged assault.
Police have stated that in many cases they have been unable to locate the victims of those who have been terrorized by teens on scooters. They encourage the public to contact the police when problems such as these arise so that they can continue to work.
