The Tennessee Titans are planning to start quarterback Blaine Gabbert against his former team, the Jacksonville Jaguars, on Sunday, sources told Adam Schefter.
Marcus Mariota's status has been closely watched throughout the week as he tries to overcome the elbow injury that he suffered during the season opener against Miami and which prevented him from imposing himself last week against Houston.
Tennessee is still hoping Mariota will be able to get their hands in their hands to get it out as quickly as possible, but Sunday's plan is to start Gabbert, sources said.
