Donald Trump Jr. Thursday criticized People for the ethical treatment of animals on his Halloween costume "Donald Trump Jr.".
"Ironically, there are few organs in the world that have as much animal blood as PETA. You, hypocrites, are literally an animal slaughter plant. "In the past 11 years, PETA has killed 29,426 dogs, cats, rabbits and other pets," tweeted President Trump's son.
Trump Jr. also included a link to the Huffington Post article that he cited.
PETA recently launched the costume and said it was inspired by "the trophy hunting photo that showed the Trump brothers smiling while hugging the body of a dead leopard".
It features a bloody camouflage jacket, a red hat with the name of Trump Jr. written in white, a label saying "half-armed" and, of course, a large stuffed leopard "in a jumping position".
"There is nothing more frightening than a ghoul who has the right to play by killing wild animals," said PETA President Ingrid Newkirk about the set. "On Halloween, PETA will help people make fun of someone who believes the world and its wildlife are there for him."
